About Amanda

I have had the honor of creating meaningful imagery for individuals, families, non-profits, small start-ups, fortune 500 companies and ad agencies. Since earning a photography degree from the Minneapolis College of Art and Design, I have done all of the following things in my career:

• Established and ran the first fully-functioning photo and video studio for the company Five Below in Philadelphia.

• Worked in a food photography studio where we fretted over the meticulous placement of crumbs on plates.

• Worked as a staff museum photographer at the Minneapolis Institute of Art, where I documented thousands of art objects from around the world.

• Traveled around the United States to meet and photograph people who share my last name and connect our American story. You can see the photos here.

• Took a bold leap into freelance world and relocated to Los Angeles from Minneapolis.

• Co-founded an advertising photo/film company called Hunt + Capture, which won awards from Communication Arts and AdFed.

• Once traveled from Cairo, Egypt to Lima, Peru for an assignment!
